READY TO PLAY BALL?
Welcome to Eagle Lake Babe Ruth Baseball!
We are excited that you are considering registering your child in our program. Our goal is to provide a great baseball experience for players at every ability and experience level. From Pre-K through middle school, each division is designed with the intent of building and growing a player’s skills throughout the season.
Our league emphasizes safety, teamwork, sportsmanship, and, perhaps most importantly, having fun. Descriptions of each league are included below (click “Show Details”). When you register your child, they are eligible for divisions based on their birth dates. Babe Ruth League provides guidelines for how to determine your child’s league age. Please don’t forget, Fall is when the League Age resets, NOT spring.

3 and 4 year old Tee-Ball style baseball. Games are two innings, batting through your lineup before switching to defense. We do not track outs or runs. Great introduction to the game of baseball!
In this division, hitters will attempt to hit a pitch thrown from a coach from a short distance away. If they miss all four pitches, a tee will be brought out. In the spring, after spring break, the tee goes away completely and the hitter will be out. Defensive outs will also count. This division is a great advancement of the game from Small Ball.
In this division, players will hit off of a pitching machine throwing around 42mph. They will receive a maximum of four pitches, three swings(unless the hitter fouls the last pitch). This is real baseball, when you’re out, you’re out. 10 defensive players (four outfielders).
This division will face live pitching from players on the other team, this is the first kid-pitch division. The mound and bases are slightly closer than the next division 46′ home plate to mound and 60′ bases. No leadoffs, stealing allowed when the ball crosses the plate. 9 defensive players. 6 Innings or time limit.
This is the last division on the smaller fields, but the mound and bases are further back. Mound to home plate is 50′ and the base paths are 70′, leadoffs are allowed and balks are called. 6 innings or time limit.
This division plays on the big field, 300′ fences 60’6″ mounds and 90′ base paths. Typical baseball rules, 7 inning or time limit.
