IT TAKES A COMMUNITY

Eagle Lake Youth Baseball relies on a devoted legion of adult volunteers to help ensure that the organization remains structured and runs smoothly. Our program is always looking for responsible and enthusiastic individuals to support and coordinate events and activities. As a volunteer, you should have a keen interest in the safety, well-being, and overall development of children. By reading further, you will discover that the benefits of volunteering are endless. You will also gain a better understanding of why you should become involved, who volunteers are, what you can do, and how you can sign up.

Make a Financial Contribution

As a fully volunteer and community run ballpark, Eagle Lake Youth Baseball has partnered with business on a local level to help keep the costs for our registration fees to a minimum and to provide unparalleled benefits and resources to our teams and individual players.

Sponsors help our league operate smoothly, provide training resources for coaches, offset expenses for educational initiatives,  assist in supporting tournament costs, and provide opportunities and knowledge in fundraising, operations, nutrition, and safety.  In short, sponsors help us offer the best program possible, so players and volunteers can have a fun and rewarding baseball experience.

We appreciate the partnership of all of our sponsors! If you’re interested in partnering with ELSA for a sponsorship opportunity, use the button below, or email our Sponsorship Director for more information.

Become a Volunteer

Who Can Volunteer?

Anyone can apply to become a volunteer. Whatever talents or skills you have, we can use them! At our park, volunteers are grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles, retirees, community leaders, former Eagle Lake Youth Ballplayers, friends, neighbors, and more.  Any community member who wishes to become a volunteer may apply.

All parents of children involved in Eagle Lake Youth Baseball are strongly encouraged to volunteer.  As a parent, volunteer, you have the opportunity to spend quality time with your child in a safe, fun-filled environment.  Oftentimes, parent and child social lives parallel each other.  Volunteering allows your life and your child’s life to intersect on common ground, with shared interests and goals.

How do I Become a Volunteer?

If you’d like to volunteer at our park, please see one of the ELSA Board Members on how to get started!

What Can a Volunteer Do?

No experience is required to become a volunteer. Most of the volunteer opportunities require little or no training. We will provide you with any necessary training (as well as support and encouragement), as necessary. The best volunteers are those who are able to bring added enjoyment to the game simply be being themselves. What you see during our games is a mere fraction of what you can do as a volunteer. You can volunteer to help in virtually any aspect of our park.

On rare occasions, through District Administrators, your local ESLA Board of Directors may deny individuals the privilege of volunteering for reasons, past or present, that may be detrimental to the positive development of young people, other volunteers, and/or Babe Ruth League. When you apply to become a volunteer, you give the Eagle Lake Youth Baseball organization the right to conduct necessary background checks.

Interested in Coaching?

Eagle Lake Youth Baseball is always in the need for coaches, both head coaches and assistants. If you are interested tin becoming a coach, there’s a few things you should know:

You should have a thorough understanding of our league’s rules and regulations.  Some training in first aid is also helpful but not required, as well as experience with other volunteer opportunities. Our league requires coaching candidates to register with the Babe Ruth League Association and attend virtual coaching trainings. This means you allow the ELSA to conduct a background check on you. When it comes to our players, their safety is our greatest priority.
